Nectar Premier is 6.5/10 (medium-firm) all-foam — hugs your body, slow response. Best for back sleepers and combo sleepers who don't mind the sink. Casper Original Hybrid is 6/10 (medium) with pocketed coils — more bounce, easier to move on, and the zoned support genuinely helps hip pain for side sleepers 130-200 lb.

Nectar's cooling-fiber cover is doing real work — it is built to move heat off the surface of foam that would otherwise hold it, rather than merely letting it vent. In our scoring that gets it to 8/10 for cooling, which is a strong number for an all-foam bed.
Casper's AirScape foam is perforated to breathe better than a solid memory-foam slab, but there is no active cooling layer above it, and Casper's own listing names average cooling as its first drawback. We have not put either bed in front of a thermal camera, so treat this as a construction-and-scoring judgment rather than a measured temperature gap. Hot sleepers: pick Nectar.
Nectar: 365-night trial (industry-leading), Forever Warranty. Casper: 100-night trial, 10-year warranty. A year to decide is enough to know whether a mattress is right; 100 nights can expire before the season that exposes the problem.
Availability is now the bigger gap, and it is worth being blunt about it. Casper has discontinued the Original Hybrid — casper.com/mattresses/casper-original-hybrid redirects to the Casper Dream Hybrid, a different bed at a different height and price, and Casper's own upgrade guidance points Original owners at the Dream. What is left is Amazon stock under ASIN B085H9FBBP, listed as limited quantity. Nectar Premier is still in production and sold direct.
That matters beyond ordering. Warranty and trial claims on a discontinued line are only as good as the seller behind them, and if the bed doesn't work out there is no brand-direct replacement unit to exchange into. If you want the Casper feel from a bed that is still made, the Dream Hybrid is the model to look at instead.
