Reduced friction means less hair breakage and bedhead, less tugging on lashes and skin, and less of your night cream wicked away than cotton absorbs. It won't erase wrinkles or replace moisturizer. Buy it for the friction and the cool — real, modest, worth it — not for miracles.
4. Zipper or envelope closure?
Hidden zipper (Blissy, ZIMASILK, Slip's some lines) holds the pillow firmly and looks clean but adds a seam. Envelope/flap closure (Alaska Bear, Slip classic) has no hardware to fail and is easier to wash, but the pillow can slip out on a restless night.
