Honeywell goes a different route from the ultrasonic crowd: evaporative wicking technology blows air through a moistened filter, which self-limits humidity (it physically can't push the room past healthy levels) and emits no white mineral dust. What's the white-dust issue?

Is the fan too loud for sleep?
