Reinforced clip, backlit buttons, toddler lock, a timer, and six sounds instead of three. Yogasleep also describes the Hushh 2 as drop-tested. The original had long-term reports of volume drift and stuck buttons; the redesign targets exactly those, though it's too new to fully judge.
Hushh 2 vs Rohm for a baby?
Hushh 2 — the clip, night light, timer, and child lock are all parenting features the Rohm lacks for $10 less. The Rohm is the better pick for adult travel.
How loud should it run near a crib?
Pediatric guidance cited widely (including AAP-linked sources) keeps infant-room noise under ~60 dB at the crib. Run it at the lowest effective volume, at least a few feet from the crib — not clipped to it while sleeping.
Does it survive being dropped?
It's drop-tested and the shell holds up well; the CLIP is the historical weak point, and even the reinforced version has had a breakage report. Treat the clip as convenience, not load-bearing gear.
