Does the knit really stay cool?
It vents better than a quilted glass-bead blanket by construction: the open knit leaves gaps for air to move through, where a bead blanket traps it inside sewn pockets. We have not found published thermal testing that puts a number on the difference, so treat the improvement as structural rather than measured.
How do I wash a knit weighted blanket?
Cold water, gentle cycle, tumble dry low. Bearaby is machine-washable (unlike some knit blankets that require dry cleaning). It holds up well through repeated washes.
