Price — and whether you can still buy either
Winner: DreamCloud PremierOn price the Casper now has the edge: its remaining Amazon stock has dropped below the DreamCloud Premier Hybrid's direct price, by roughly a tenth at our last check. Discontinued stock can reprice without notice, so compare the two current prices on this page. DreamCloud is still the better-scoring bed of the two (8.6 vs 8.2), and availability is what decides this row.
Availability is the harder half. Casper has discontinued the Original Hybrid. As of July 2026 casper.com/mattresses/casper-original-hybrid redirects to the Casper Dream Hybrid — a different mattress at a different height and price — GoodBed lists the Original under Casper's discontinued models, and Casper's own upgrade guidance tells Original Hybrid owners to move to the Dream. What remains is Amazon stock (ASIN B085H9FBBP), listed as limited quantity. DreamCloud sells the Premier Hybrid directly from dreamcloudsleep.com today, in every size.
On whether to wait for a sale: don't, in either direction. Amazon held the Casper at one price from April into late September, then cut it by about a third; a discontinued SKU clearing stock can move either way, and the variable is stock as much as price. DreamCloud runs near-permanent promotions off a much higher anchor, which means its current price is its ordinary selling price rather than a floor you have to catch. The gap between the two is now small enough that the trial, the warranty and availability should decide it, not the calendar.
