Ohropax is the European original, moldable wax wrapped in a thin cotton skin. You warm a ball between your fingers and press it over the ear opening, where it forms a soft custom cap — no canal insertion, which is exactly why side sleepers and people who can't stand foam keep coming back to it. It blocks a mid-range ~23dB and it takes practice: the wax can feel sticky, it grabs stray hairs, and the warm-and-mold routine is fussier than popping in foam.
