Pure Green is Sleep On Latex's natural latex topper, sold in Soft, Medium and Firm and in 1-, 2- and 3-inch layers. The Firm grade is the one for a bed that feels too soft: Sleep On Latex lists it at 5.9 lb per cubic foot and 46 lbf at 25% compression (IFD), against 20 lbf for its Soft grade. The latex is GOLS certified organic, made by what the brand calls an enhanced version of the Dunlop process. It comes bare unless you add one of the brand's organic cotton covers, and Sleep On Latex backs it with a 5-year warranty. Latex springs back rather than letting you sink, so it firms up the surface; it cannot level a mattress that has already sagged.

How firm is the Sleep On Latex Firm topper?
Sleep On Latex rates its Firm grade at 46 lbf at 25% compression (IFD), against 34 lbf for Medium and 20 lbf for Soft, measured to ASTM D3574. A higher number takes more force to press down, so it feels firmer. Firm is the firmest grade in the Pure Green range.
1, 2 or 3 inches?
To firm up a mattress that is too soft, Sleep On Latex says to use at least 2 inches and preferably 3. The 1-inch only tweaks the surface feel and, in the brand's words, will not add support. We link the 2-inch; if your bed feels soft right through, the 3-inch Firm is the better buy.
Can I return it?
Bought from Sleep On Latex directly, the brand takes toppers back within 30 days of delivery for a full refund and sends a free return label. A topper bought on Amazon follows Amazon's return policy instead, so check it on the listing.
Does it need a cover?
No. Sleep On Latex says a cover is nice to have but not a necessity, and the topper can go straight under a fitted sheet. The brand sells jersey knit and luxury knit organic cotton covers separately.
Will it fix a sagging mattress?
No. A firm topper adds support on top of a mattress that still lies flat. If your mattress has a dip where you sleep, the latex follows it, and the money is better spent on a new mattress.
Is it really organic?
Sleep On Latex lists GOLS organic certification for the latex, plus Fair for Life fair-trade certification, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Greenguard Gold for the foam and eco-INSTITUT. It says the latex comes from organically grown rubber trees in Sri Lanka.
