The Sleepbuds 2 are Ozlo's current model and the one Amazon now stocks. Ozlo publishes the figures that matter to a side sleeper: each bud weighs 1.6 g and stands 11 mm tall, against 2.4 g and 13 mm for the Soundcore A30 in Ozlo's own comparison, and the battery is rated at up to 14 hours of playback in Ozlo's test at 50% volume. You can stream anything over Bluetooth 5.3 to fall asleep; a sleep-detecting accelerometer then switches the buds to on-board noise masking from a library of more than 60 sounds, so nothing depends on the phone through the night. The smart case adds two to three charges and carries ambient noise, light and temperature sensors that feed the app's Sleep Patterns report. There is no microphone, so no calls, and no active noise cancelling — isolation is the passive seal of the silicone tips plus masking. What changed from the original Ozlo Sleepbuds to the Sleepbuds 2?
Ozlo's own summary is clearer sound, a longer battery and a refined design: up to 14 hours of playback against 10 for the original, Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio, and Sleep Patterns tracking with environmental insights in the app. The original is no longer sold on Ozlo's store and Amazon lists it as unavailable.
Do the Sleepbuds 2 have noise cancelling?
No active noise cancelling. Ozlo uses the passive seal of the silicone tips plus noise-masking audio, which it argues works better than ANC for snoring in a bedroom. The buds switch to masking automatically once the accelerometer detects you are asleep.
Can I stream podcasts or music all night?
You can stream anything a Bluetooth headphone can — Spotify, Audible, YouTube, Netflix — to fall asleep. Once asleep, the buds move to on-board sleep sounds. A Bluetooth-disabled mode is also available.
Can I take calls on them?
No. There is no microphone in the Sleepbuds 2; Ozlo says this is deliberate for the sleep use case.
