The standard Trtl assumes one neck length. The Plus adds twist toggles that extend or shorten the internal support, which sounds like a minor upgrade and is not: a support that ends an inch below your jaw does nothing, and that is the single most common reason people give up on the original. Getting it right takes one fiddle at the gate and then it stays set. You pay more than for the standard and carry a bit more weight — Trtl's own comparison is a can of soda rather than a phone. For anyone outside average height, that is a good trade.

Is the Plus worth paying more than for the standard Trtl?
It depends entirely on your height. If the standard Trtl already sits correctly under your jaw, the Plus adds weight and cost for a mechanism you will set once and forget. If you are notably tall or short and the original support lands in the wrong place, the Plus is the difference between a pillow that works and one that does not.
How do you set the height?
You twist the toggles on the internal support to extend or shorten it, then wrap as normal. It is a physical adjustment rather than a strap, so it holds its setting between flights and does not creep loose mid-sleep.
Does it still pack flat?
Yes, and it ships with a carry bag. It is bulkier than the standard Trtl because the adjustment mechanism takes up room, but it still packs flatter than any U-shaped memory-foam pillow that has not been compressed into a stuff sack.
